Forgotten Stories on monimediallinen projekti. Se kertoo paikoista, jotka olivat aikoinaan täynnä elämää, mutta ovat hiljalleen hiipuneet unohduksiin. Projektimme keskittyy kolmeen alueeseen, jotka ovat nykyään hylättyjä, tai vain hiljentyneet vuosien saatossa: Varjakansaari, Lampinsaari ja Tuiranpuisto. Jokaisessa jaksossa sukellamme haastateltavan avulla alueen menneisyyteen ja heidän henkilökohtaisiin muistoihinsa paikoista, samalla kertoen myös kohteiden historiasta. Projektimme pääpaino on lyhytdokumenttisarjalla, joka sisältää kolme jaksoa. Syventääksemme tarinaa, kirjoitimme jokaisesta kohteesta myös artikkelin, joiden avulla kohteisiin voi tutustua halutessaan vielä perusteellisemmin.
Forgotten Stories is a multi-media project about places that used to be full of life, but that are now slowly dying and their history is about to be forgotten. We focussed on three areas that are close to be abandoned or abandoned already: Varjakansaari, Lampinsaari and Tuiranpuisto. In each episode someone who is close to the area tells his or her personal story about the place combined with background information and the history of the area. The main focus of Forgotten Stories is our three documentary episodes. We wrote one article for each place to create more depth and show more detail.
